Cross the Uyuni Salt Flat
for a full day by Land Cruiser

This small-group full-day tour travels by 4WD Land Cruiser with up to 6 people per vehicle. A guide-driver accompanies you, with commentary in Spanish or English depending on the option you choose. You receive tour information the day before.

Visit the train cemetery and the Colchani salt refinery

The first stop is the train cemetery, where the remains of trains that were once a symbol of Bolivia's development are gathered. Next, stop at the Colchani salt refinery to see piles of salt up close and learn how salt is extracted and processed.

Climb Incahuasi Island and have lunch on the salt flat

Enter the salt flat and spend the longest stop of the day on Incahuasi Island. Walk the path to see the many species of cactus growing on the island and enjoy views of the salt flat from the high point. The island entrance fee is not included.

After the island, have lunch together in the middle of the salt flat. Your guide sets up tables and chairs and prepares the meal, and a vegetarian option is available on request.

Pass the Dakar monument and watch the sunset

After lunch, stop briefly at the Playa Blanca hotel, known as the first salt hotel built on the Uyuni salt flat, and take photos in front of the Dakar monument. On the way back, stop at a quiet spot to watch the sunset over the salt flat, arriving in Uyuni around 7:00 p.m.
