On this food tour of about 2 to 3 hours, you walk through Hanoi's Old Quarter with an English-speaking guide and taste dried pho, banh xeo and bun cha at local restaurants featured in the Michelin Guide. After the tastings, depending on your option, the tour ends there or continues with local desserts and egg coffee or a visit to Train Street. Small-group and private options are available.

Stroll through the bustling old streets

Meet your guide at the meeting point and explore Hanoi's Old Quarter, the heart of the city, on foot. Walk along busy streets filled with motorbikes and locals going about their day, and feel the lively atmosphere up close.

Taste dried pho, banh xeo and bun cha

Start with dried pho with chicken at an eatery popular with locals, a Hanoi take on pho that differs from the familiar noodle soup. Then stop at a place famous for banh xeo, crispy Vietnamese pancakes, and enjoy the mix of textures and flavors.

Finally, at a 60-year-old restaurant, taste bun cha, Hanoi's signature dish of grilled pork with rice noodles, for an authentic taste of northern Vietnam.

Finish with dessert and egg coffee or Train Street

With the dessert and egg coffee option, enjoy local desserts and then Hanoi's famous egg coffee at a cafe with nearly 40 years of history. With the dessert and Train Street option, enjoy local desserts and head to Train Street to watch a train pass right in front of you with a beer, coffee or smoothie. With the food-only option, the tour ends after the tastings.
