In the morning, board a Mercedes or Volkswagen minivan seating up to 7 at your Paris hotel or the meeting point in front of the Opera Garnier. Giverny is about 70 km from Paris, around 1 hour 15 minutes by car. Visit Giverny and Versailles in turn and return to Paris in the evening.
Discover Monet's house and gardens in Giverny
Arrive in Giverny around 9:15 and visit Claude Monet's house at a set entry time. See the house that inspired Monet, founder of Impressionism, the Norman-style flower garden with its pond, and Monet's studio. Then enjoy 1 hour of free time in Giverny village with its flower-filled houses, galleries and cafés, and have lunch at a local restaurant of your choice.
Tour the Palace of Versailles with an audio guide
Leave for Versailles at 1:00 pm for a drive of about 1 hour, during which your guide shares the history of Versailles and the people who lived there. From 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm, tour the palace interior with an audio guide at your reserved entry time.
Explore the gardens, the Trianons and the Queen's Hamlet
From 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm, explore the Gardens of Versailles, the Grand Trianon and Petit Trianon, and the Queen's Hamlet (Hameau de la Reine). Leave for Paris at 6:30 pm, arriving 40 minutes to 1 hour later depending on traffic, and return to your hotel.
