A full-day boat snorkeling tour that takes you by speedboat from Hamagawa Fishing Port in Chatan to Kerama Shoto National Park. Visit 2 to 3 snorkeling spots in the clear water known as 'Kerama Blue' to see colorful coral reefs and tropical fish. You enter the water straight from the boat without landing on an island, and snorkeling gear, life jackets and insurance are included, so solo travelers can join with ease.
Program
Take a speedboat from Chatan
to the Kerama Islands
Gather at Hamagawa Fishing Port in Chatan by 8:00 AM and depart at 8:30 AM. The speedboat takes about 1 hour to reach Kerama Shoto National Park, about 40 km west of Naha. Kerama is a national park made up of about 20 inhabited and uninhabited islands.
Snorkel the famous spots of the Kerama Blue sea
Enter the water straight from the boat at 2 to 3 snorkeling spots chosen by the captain based on the day's currents and sea conditions. See coral reefs and colorful tropical fish in the clear water. Under Okinawa Prefecture rules, you must wear a life jacket while snorkeling.
Return to Chatan by speedboat
After snorkeling, return to Hamagawa Fishing Port by speedboat in about 1 hour, where the tour ends. The whole tour takes about 7 hours.
