French Macaron Cooking Class with a Parisian Chef

such a lovely experience! We learned how to make macarons using the Italian meringue method, and I was honestly surprised by how easy and approachable the process felt once we were shown how to do it. Loïs was absolutely lovely and explained everything really clearly. We only found out during the last 15 minutes that it was actually her last day, which made the experience feel even more special! 🥹 We learned a lot during the class and got to take home a box of more than 10 macarons. One small point of feedback: you’re can’t take notes during the class and the measurements aren’t provided during the workshop, so you have to rely on the recipe you receive afterwards. I’m just a little unsure about the recipe, as some of the measurements — especially for the filling — don’t seem to quite add up to what we made during the class. It would be helpful if the recipe could be provided during the workshop as well. But overall- I would highly recommend this!!

My sister, niece and I had a very lovely morning with Millie at Maison Fleuret. We learned all about making macaron, and also so much about Paris from a life-long insider’s perspective. Honestly, this was such an amazing, hands on experience...I would highly recommend Maison Fleuret, and Millie, to anyone I know visiting Paris. Next time, we conquer croissants!

This was a delightful way to spend time in Paris! We wanted a baking experience and picked this class because it offered an accessible entrance & everything on one floor (very hard to find for similar classes). The nondescript alleyway door opened to a warren of warm & inviting, small but well-appointed rooms. Our instructor, Bree, was a great teacher, knowledgeable, encouraging, & helpful. Things kept moving but never felt rushed. There were just 5 of us in the class - our group of 3 friends traveling together and a mother & 10 year old daughter (who was great at this!). We started by picking our colors & ganache flavors, then made delicious (gluten free!) macarons, start to finish, and took them with us in charming little boxes. All in all, a highlight of our trip. 🇫🇷
