Explore the Forbidden City, palace of the Ming and Qing emperors

The Forbidden City is China's most famous imperial palace and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With the Forbidden City ticket option, entry is reserved in advance and you enter on the day with the original passport used for booking. Your passport is checked or scanned at entry, and some exhibition halls inside charge an extra fee.

Enter Tiananmen Square with your reservation voucher and passport

Entry to Tiananmen Square is free but requires a reservation at least one day in advance. The operator makes the reservation as soon as booking opens and usually sends the reservation voucher, travel instructions and a recommended route map to the contact details you provided at least 2 days before your visit. Show the voucher together with your passport at the security check.

With the combo option, both sites are reserved so you can visit them in one day; just follow the recommended visiting time and route sent before your visit.

The Mutianyu & Forbidden City private tour includes an English-speaking guide, private vehicle, tickets, and the Mutianyu cable car or chairlift plus toboggan.
