This day tour from Tokyo takes you to the most famous photo spots around Mt. Fuji in a single day. Climb the 397 steps of Arakurayama Sengen Park to see the Chureito Pagoda framed with Mt. Fuji, and take photos with Mt. Fuji as a backdrop on the street by the Hikawa Clock Shop in Fujiyoshida. Enjoy local food and souvenir shopping in the spring-fed village of Oshino Hakkai, then finish at Lawson Kawaguchiko Station and the shore of Lake Kawaguchi. A guide speaking English, Chinese and Japanese accompanies you as you take in Mt. Fuji's seasonal scenery.
Meet your guide at the Marunouchi North Exit of Tokyo Station and travel by bus for about 1 hour 45 minutes to the Mt. Fuji area, with views of Mt. Fuji from the window along the way. Sharing local legends and stories, the guide leads you to Arakurayama Sengen Park, the Hikawa Clock Shop, Oshino Hakkai, Lawson Kawaguchiko and Lake Kawaguchi.
Climb the 397 steps known as the "stairway to heaven" to the Chureito Pagoda, where Mt. Fuji comes into full view. Capture the changing seasons: cherry blossoms in spring, lush greenery in summer, autumn leaves in fall and snowy scenery in winter. Then stop at the street by the Hikawa Clock Shop in Fujiyoshida, a popular photo spot where Mt. Fuji rises at the end of the road.
Oshino Hakkai is a village of eight springs fed by Mt. Fuji's snowmelt. Photograph Mt. Fuji reflected in the water, browse the souvenir shops and try local specialties such as miso tofu and kusamochi, green rice cakes filled with sweet red bean paste.
Take photos in front of Lawson Kawaguchiko Station, where Mt. Fuji appears behind the Lawson sign, and grab a snack. Finally, enjoy the seasonal flower fields and views of Mt. Fuji at Oishi Park on the shore of Lake Kawaguchi. During the autumn leaf season (October 30 to November 20), the tour visits the Kawaguchiko Maple Corridor instead of Oishi Park. The tour ends around 16:30 and is expected to arrive in Tokyo around 18:00–18:30.
※ Arrival times may vary with traffic and weather, and in peak season the schedule may be adjusted by 15–45 minutes.
※ Mt. Fuji may not be visible depending on the weather.
