The Sanyo Shinkansen is one of the fastest and most convenient ways to travel from Osaka to Hakata. With this ticket you board at designated stations in Osaka, Okayama, Fukuyama, Hiroshima, Yamaguchi and Fukuoka and ride your chosen section one way once.

Get your paper ticket
with the voucher and passport

Show your booking voucher and the booker's passport at a designated station ticket machine or green counter to exchange it for a paper ticket. Then go straight through the automatic ticket gate and board.

If the automatic gate cannot read the ticket, use the staffed gate.

Kokura - Hakata
with the Kitakyushu pass

Kokura - Hakata options include a one-way Sanyo Shinkansen non-reserved ticket and a 1-week Kitakyushu & Shimonoseki Enjoy Pass.

Only travellers holding a passport issued by a government other than Japan and entering Japan as a "Temporary Visitor" may use this ticket. Japanese nationals and holders of student or work visas cannot use it.
