The meal we cooked was the best meal I had while in Paris. I look forward to making the potatoes gratin and possibly the veloute cauliflower at home. It might have been nice to get more explanation on how to make some other elements of the meal, such as the salmon, and pear desert.

Plan the day's menu
with ingredients from the market

Your host welcomes you at 10:30 AM after buying fresh ingredients at a local market. Head to the kitchen and plan a menu of starter, main course and dessert together based on the ingredients on hand.

Learn classic French cooking techniques

Cook for about 2 hours with a glass or two of wine. Learn 6–8 techniques in total, including classic French methods such as ice cream and wine sauces, plus how to plan a meal and what you can prepare in advance. You receive all recipes as English printouts and electronic copies.

Enjoy your meal with wine and cheese

After cooking, enjoy your three-course meal with red and white wine and plenty of cheese. Your French host, who speaks fluent English, shares stories about French food and culture. Lunch usually ends around 3:00 PM, but no one will rush you out.
