From Fukuoka: Shiraito Falls, Wedded Rocks & Fukuoka Tower

at Shiraito Falls

Depart from the meeting point in front of Hakata Station and arrive about 1 hour later at Shiraito Falls in the heart of Mt. Hagino. Spend 30 minutes admiring the 24 m waterfall flowing like fine white threads.

Explore Raizan Sennyoji Daihioin

Spend about 40 minutes at Raizan Sennyoji Daihioin, famous for autumn leaves, exploring the beautiful garden, the 4 m wooden Kannon statue and 500 arhat statues on the hillside, and learning about the temple's history dating back to 742.

Meet Keya no Oto and the wedded rocks

After a stop in Itoshima town, spend about 100 minutes at Sakurai Futamigaura admiring the pure white torii in front of the blue sea and the Meoto Iwa rocks joined by a shimenawa rope. At Keya no Oto Park, walk the Totoro forest path that feels like a Ghibli fairy tale for 40 minutes.

End the day at Fukuoka Tower

Finally, spend 1 hour at Fukuoka Tower. From the 123 m observation deck you can see Tenjin's streets, the yacht harbor and seaside park, and the mountains to the south over the city and Hakata Bay. Then return to Hakata Station.
