Highlights

This is an approximately 2-hour tour gliding over the "Miyako Blue" sea on a transparent stand-up paddleboard (SUP) at a beautiful beach on Miyakojima. You can see straight through the board to the sea below, spotting coral reefs, tropical fish and, if you are lucky, even sea turtles. Your local guide explains everything from how to use the equipment, so first-timers are welcome, and families with children from age 1 can join. Photos and videos taken by your guide with a waterproof camera are provided free of charge on the same day.

Program

Meet your local guide and enjoy
the Miyako sea on a clear SUP

Meet your local guide at one of Miyakojima's beaches, receive all the equipment you need, and head out after easy-to-follow instructions and some local tips. The tour takes about 2 hours in total; no boat is used and you start directly from the beach.

The tour runs in small groups and is guided in English and Japanese.

Look down at coral reefs and marine life from a clear board

Paddle along the coast on a completely transparent board and look straight down into the sea. Over the crystal-clear water you can see colorful coral reefs, tropical fish and, if you are lucky, even sea turtles. Your instructor guides you from start to finish, so beginners can enjoy it too. SUP takes place at Aragusuku Beach, Maehama Beach or Ingya Marine Garden depending on the day's conditions.

Families with children can join comfortably

Guests from age 1 to 65 can participate. Life jackets and paddles for children are provided, and children can ride on the board with their parents. The guides also have experience in childcare and education. Pregnant guests can participate too, and the team will provide extra support if needed.

Receive photos and videos from your guide on the same day

Your guide takes photos and videos with a waterproof camera throughout the tour. All photos and videos are provided free of charge with no data limit toward the end of the day. Drone photography is not included.
