Feed the deer in Nara Park

Spend about an hour exploring Nara Park in the ancient capital of Nara at your own pace. More than 1,000 deer roam the park freely, and you can get close and feed them yourself.
Walk Arashiyama's bamboo forest and Togetsukyo Bridge

Enjoy about 2.5 hours of free time in Arashiyama. Walk the bamboo forest path and visit Nonomiya Shrine, known for its black log torii (kuroki torii), Togetsukyo Bridge over the Hozu River and the Kimono Forest lined with kimono-patterned poles. If you wish, you can enter Tenryuji, a World Heritage Site, for an additional fee. The lanes are lined with shops selling street snacks such as matcha soft-serve and dorayaki.
Walk the Senbon Torii of Fushimi Inari Shrine

Finally, spend about 70 minutes at Fushimi Inari Shrine. Walk the red torii paths leading up Mount Inari, take photos and write a wish on a fox-shaped ema plaque. After the tour, you will be dropped off in Osaka or Kyoto depending on your option.
※ On holidays, weekends and in peak season, traffic may delay the return.
※ Scenery such as cherry blossoms and autumn leaves varies by season.
