The tour starts with hotel pickup or a meeting at Grand Hotel Beijing (depending on the option you choose). An English-speaking guide and a dedicated driver accompany you in an air-conditioned vehicle. The small group tour has about 12 people (up to 12), and the private tour is just for your family or partner.
Pass through Tiananmen Square and tour the Forbidden City with your guide
First, explore Tiananmen Square for about 40 minutes. Then enter the Forbidden City and tour it for about 2.5 hours with your guide's commentary. Reservations for Tiananmen and the Forbidden City are included.
Walk the Mutianyu Great Wall and enjoy the mountain views
Drive about 2 hours to the Mutianyu Great Wall. Spend about 3 hours walking along the wall and taking in the open mountain views. Lunch is also included in the tour.
Go up and down by chairlift and toboggan, or by cable car
At Mutianyu, ride the chairlift up and the toboggan down, or use the round-trip cable car. After the tour, drive about 2 hours back to the city.
※ The toboggan is not available to those aged 60 or over, pregnant women or children under 3, and does not run in bad weather or when queues are long. In that case, the round-trip chairlift or cable car is used.
