Beijing Mutianyu Great Wall Early Departure Guided Tour - Lunch Included

Leave Beijing early in the morning
for the Mutianyu Great Wall

Pickup is between 6:00 and 7:30 AM from hotels within the designated downtown Beijing area. If you stay outside the area, meet at the Swissotel Beijing Hong Kong Macau Center. The drive to Mutianyu takes 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours, and on the way the guide shares stories about Mutianyu and travel tips.

Departure times vary by season. During the summer holidays (July 15 to September 1) and local public holidays, departure is at 6:00 AM; in the regular season at 6:30 to 7:00 AM; and in the low season (November 15 to April 1) at 7:30 AM.

Walk the Mutianyu Great Wall freely

With the entrance ticket included, you head straight into Mutianyu. You stay for over 4 hours and have 3 to 4 hours of free time to explore and take photos on your own.

The round-trip cable car, or the chairlift up and toboggan down, costs 140 RMB per person each and is not included. Pay the guide on the bus and they will help you buy tickets.

Enjoy a Chinese buffet lunch and return to Beijing

Have a one-hour Chinese buffet lunch near the Great Wall. Afterwards, drive about 2 hours back to Beijing and get off at the Olympic Park (National Stadium), next to a subway station.

Add the Summer Palace or the Forbidden City with an option

The "Great Wall + Summer Palace" option includes a guide, tickets, lunch and vehicle, and adds a visit to the Summer Palace. The "Forbidden City + Simatai Great Wall at Night" option combines the Forbidden City with the night views of the Simatai Great Wall.
