Leave early at 8:00 AM

Meet at Zhangzizhong Road Station (Line 5) at 8:00 AM and travel to Mutianyu by bus or minivan. The ride takes about 1.5 hours. The later you arrive, the more crowded it gets and the harder it is to take good photos, so this tour departs at 8:00 AM instead of 10:00 AM.

Go straight to the entrance with no shuttle wait

You arrive at Mutianyu around 9:30 AM and head directly to the entrance without waiting for the shuttle bus. Entrance tickets and the in-park shuttle bus ticket are included, and your English-speaking guide helps arrange the tickets.

Walk the wall at your own pace for about 5 hours

Explore the Great Wall freely for about 5 hours until 2:30 PM. At Mutianyu you can choose the western or eastern section; the cable car is recommended for the west and the toboggan for the east. The cable car or toboggan costs CNY 140 per person and is paid separately. If you'd like to ride, tell your guide on the day and they will help you buy tickets.

Enjoy a local Chinese lunch and return to Beijing

With the lunch option, you enjoy a local Chinese lunch at Mutianyu for about 1 hour. The group departs for Beijing at 2:30 PM and returns to the city between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
