Cross Chang'an Avenue into Tiananmen Square to see grand buildings such as the Great Hall of the People and the National Museum, while your guide explains the meaning of each landmark.

Explore the key palaces of
the Forbidden City with your guide

Enter the Forbidden City (Palace Museum), home to 24 Ming and Qing emperors from 1420 to 1911. Following your guide's route, see the highlights: the Meridian Gate where emperors issued decrees, the three great halls of the outer court including the Hall of Supreme Harmony where state ceremonies were held, the inner court palaces such as the Palace of Heavenly Purity where the emperor lived, and the Imperial Garden.

Enjoy a lunch buffet
and climb the Mutianyu Great Wall

Drive about 1 hour 30 minutes to the relatively uncrowded Mutianyu Great Wall. Refuel with a lunch buffet of local dishes, popular Western options, seasonal fruit and soft drinks.

Choose between a round-trip cable car or a chairlift up and a toboggan ride down. Walk along the wall and watchtowers that wind over the ridges for about 2 hours, enjoying the views, before returning to your hotel in downtown Beijing.
