From Fukuoka: Safari, Mt. Yufu, Yufuin & Sea Hell

Depart from Hakata Station
and see Beppu's Sea Hell first

Depart by bus early in the morning from Lawson Fukuoka Oriental Hotel (in front of Hakata Station Chikushi Exit) and arrive in Beppu about 2 hours later. Spend about 30 minutes at Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell), a cobalt-blue hot spring where 98°C water releases steam, and taste hot spring eggs cooked by geothermal heat if you like. Tickets are bought separately on site.

Take photos at the Mt. Yufu trailhead

Stop at the Mt. Yufu trailhead for about 15 minutes to take photos with the mountain's graceful silhouette.

Meet wild animals at the African Safari

Spend about 2 hours at the Kyushu Natural Animal Park African Safari watching lions, giraffes, elephants and more in wide habitats. You can also try feeding the bears. Admission is not included and is paid on site.

Enjoy strolling and shopping in Yufuin

Finally, enjoy 2 hours of free time in Yufuin. Walk Yunotsubo Street lined with boutiques, galleries and Japanese sweet shops, taste local food such as Bungo beef or relax at a cafe. Return to Hakata Station in the evening.
