Highlights

Depart from Fukuoka and explore
Oguni's hot spring towns and waterfall
Meet at the Hakata Station Chikushi Exit bus stop and travel by bus to the Oguni area of Kumamoto Prefecture. This is a group tour of up to 45 people with a Chinese/English/Japanese tour leader. The tour takes about 10 hours and ends back at the meeting point.
Discover hot spring steam cooking at Toyosaku Market and Tsuetate Onsen
Stop by Toyosaku Market in Oguni to learn about the culture of hot spring steam cooking and fresh produce from local farms. Then head to Tsuetate Onsen, a historic hot spring town along the Tsuetate River, and enjoy a free pudding steamed with hot spring vapor.
See Nabegataki Falls and walk behind the water
Surrounded by forest, Nabegataki Falls lets you walk behind its curtain-like stream of water. Next, visit Kiyora Kasa (Minamioguni specialty products center) to browse local produce, specialty milk and yogurt, and souvenirs.
Stroll through Kurokawa Onsen
Stroll through Kurokawa Onsen, a hot spring town with an old-fashioned atmosphere set in a mountain valley and forest. You can enjoy open-air baths or, in winter, see the illuminations. Hot spring admission is not included.
